Sovereign Gold Bonds
Under the Sovereign Gold Bond scheme, the issues are made open for subscription in tranches by Reserve Bank of India in consultation with Government .RBI Notifies the terms and conditions for the scheme from time to time. The rate of SGB is declared by RBI before every new tranche by issuing a Press Release. Sovereign Gold Bonds are government securities denominated in grams of gold. They are substitutes for holding physical gold.
